MAGMA Indonesia 1.3.2

MAGMA Indonesia is an application that provides quasi real-time information and recommendations about geological disasters in Indonesia, including volcanic eruptions, ground movements, earthquakes, and tsunamis. The application is independently developed by the Civil Servant Developer Team at the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation, Geological Agency, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. MAGMA Indonesia is designed to serve both the Indonesian and international communities. It represents a new breakthrough in Indonesia's efforts towards geological disaster mitigation.

Information Features:

1. Volcanic Activity Information (Volcanic Activity Report/VAR): Early warning system for volcanic eruptions processed from routine reporting data by Volcano Observers and Volcanic Mitigation Staff in Indonesia. It includes location maps, basic data, visual and instrumental observation data, activity level status, recommendations for communities and visitors around volcanoes, report authors' names, and data sources.
2. Volcanic Eruption/Volcanic Ash for Aviation Information (Volcano Observatory Notice for Aviation/VONA): Early warning system for volcanic eruptions affecting aviation safety (domestic/international flights). Contains location maps, eruption/ash eruption timing, color codes (warning levels), eruption column height, volcanic ash dispersal direction, report authors' names, and data sources.
3. Overall volcano activity level information.
4. Earthquake/Tsunami Information and Response (Response on EarthQuake/ROQ): Provides basic information such as location maps, event timing, magnitude, depth, earthquake mechanism symbols near the earthquake epicenter, nearest volcano name to the earthquake center, and data sources.
5. Landslide/Mudslide Event Information and Response (Land Movement Mitigation System/SIGERTAN): Includes event location maps and timing, impact assessment, disaster area conditions, landslides movement conditions, appearance/dimensions, triggering factors, recommendations, report authors' names, and data sources.
6. Press Releases: Geological disaster information presented in list format.
7. Search function for geological disaster site names.
8. Download Maps of Volcano-Prone Areas, Earthquakes, Tsunamis as well as Vulnerability Zone Maps and Landslide Potential Maps.

Interactive Features:

1. Geological disaster map displaying the distribution of geological disaster locations along with their information equipped with distance measurement algorithms between the User's position and geological disaster locations.
2. Disaster Reporting (Community Reporting System): Platform for communities to report geological disaster events in their vicinity or based on reliable information/news.
3. Report felt earthquake events (Earthquake Intensity Report/LINI): Platform for the public to report felt earthquake events.
4. Geological Disaster Notification Settings: Users can set up Geological Disaster notifications based on potential hazards in their respective areas.
